Some international reports on education show that Yemen is considered one of the widest gender gaps, and despite continuous efforts to increase the proportion of girls in schools, this did not achieve the desired hope. The education of Yemeni girls is still the subject of a basic and controversial discussion to get out of this crisis that concerns Yemenis and international organizations, especially since customs and traditions are among the most important obstacles and obstacles facing the education of Yemeni girls. Hence, this article is merely an attempt to present the challenges of Yemeni girl education.

It is well known among EFL practitioners that the application of communicative methodology is not easy to be accomplished, but it is a challenge that faces EFL teachers because it demands an understanding of the theoretical nature of the communicative competence. Hence, this research aims at showing the important role of integrating the cultural aspect of English as a core component into the development of learners’ communicative competence. It will also give a thorough overview about this concept and how to achieve it. On the other hand, this paper also will try to determine what type of activities should be introduced to the students. For that, this paper will focus on evaluating one English textbook taught in Yemeni High schools so as to figure out to what extent the communicative approach is used and how the target language is stressed to boost students’ communicative competence.

The study aimed to identify the level of moral disgust among university students, according to the variables of sex (male – female) and stage (first – third). The research sample amounted to (500) male and female students from the University of Basra, which were selected by the stratified random method. The results were verified and their data was statistically processed, and the researcher used the appropriate statistical methods, the t-test for two independent samples, the Pearson correlation coefficient, the t-test for one sample, and the alpha-Cronbach equation, and also used the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). The results showed that university students have a moral disgust for all behaviors, behaviors and situations that are contrary to moral custom, as well as the absence of statistically significant differences in moral disgust among Basra University students according to the variables of gender and stage. Which was built by the researcher in line with the Iraqi environment in psychological and educational research, due to the absence of previous Iraqi, Arab and foreign standards and to support and develop the level of moral growth of students through material and moral instructions and reinforcements.
